Do Miracles Exist?

Are they an answer to prayer?

I have a complicated relationship with prayer due to my chronic illnesses. The Bible is ambiguous about its power and role, even the results. Like, on the one hand, it says to pray for anything, and it will be given to us. On the other hand(s), it has to be something that he likes. Oh, and it also says that people will suffer, anyway (so why ask?). My favourite is the one where Paul says that God told him that his grace was sufficient; in other words, shut up.

“God moments” happen, though (some call them miracles). There are times when nothing can explain what occurred, and fate doesn’t provide an answer, either. But are those “moments” the direct result of our prayers? Or did God decide to intervene for whatever reason, independently from our desires?
