In Search of Peace
Let’s see where this journey leads me
“Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” (James 1:2, 4 NLT)
It makes sense, except for “perfect.” Fortunately, you can check other versions that translate it as “mature.” I like that better. We mature when we face troubles of any kind.
Now, maybe “great joy” is stretching it a little too much, don’t you think? I’d say peace. Like, we find peace when we embrace our circumstances.
That’s what I’m searching for currently — peace.
I don’t have a magic pill to give me peace, but I have an idea. What if I write about it? As in, talk about peace. That will force me to put all the cards (the good and bad things that are going on in my life) on the table and be honest and fair.
Stay tuned.
