We’ve Lost Lots Of Followers
And why that’s okay
Empathy Café has lost so many followers (on our Facebook page) in the last few weeks! Yet, we’ve gained A LOT of engagement as a small, friendly community, which I totally LOVE. I really enjoy chatting with you off-air and continuing the conversations, even video chatting, and our time in the comments. I tell ya, this is amazing, as I miss having my church family, but you guys are my new family!
It’s completely understandable why we lost followers. I think it is primarily because this blog has pivoted. We used to have tons (okay, I’m exaggerating a tad here) of writers, each of whom brought their stories to this platform. But it takes much effort to hunt for writers and keep the momentum going; I don’t have the energy anymore. So, that’s why lately it’s been just me, myself and I.
I am not worried about it.
Those who stay are here because you care; that is all that matters. For a man like me who struggles with mental health, having a support network like Empathy Café is of uttermost importance. So, you gotta know, you are recommended by my doctors!
Keep the love coming. I love you back!
