Modern Adaptations of Classic Theatre We Need More Than David Mamet’s Harvey Weinstein Play
In a recent interview with the Chicago Tribune, pulitzer-winning playwright, conservative, and noted masculinity enthusiast, David Mamet revealed that he’s written a new play about Harvey Weinstein. Although no dates are confirmed, Mr. Mamet’s statement alluded to a Broadway production of the play sometime in the future.
As someone who cares very much for American theatre while caring very little for either Mr. Mamet or Mr. Weinstein, I took it upon myself to brainstorm a few adaptations audiences need A HELL OF A LOT more than Mamet’s new opus of white male victimization.
