Empower Project
This program is targeted at women in tech, who want to improve their verbal communication skills, in English. It involves 1–1 mentorship and group discussions, which will make the attendees more confident in communicating their ideas with clarity. Whether it is a group discussion, the final face-to-face round of an interview, or a simple text message someone, the skills from this programme will help one feel empowered in leading the conversation/discussion.
The Concept:
The program is based on the underpinning idea that a guided 1–1 conversation over a diverse range of topics, is the one of the best ways to improve fluency in English.
The program consists of:
1. Personalised & group calls.
2. Themed and exciting discussions across relevant topics.
3. Simple reading assignments. No high-school grammar assignments.
4. Lots of learning in general- you can ask our mentors almost anything pertaining to their personal experiences w.r.t verbal communication.
5. Writing assignments on the discussed topics, which will be posted here. It’ll improve writing skills along with solidifying the learnings from the session!
First Session
The first session on Nov1 2020, involved introducing the program and the topic for the first group discussion : Intriguing ML Applications! There was a discussion around AI Dungeon, an infinitely generated text adventure powered by deep learning.
This is the story generated through the application with inputs from everyone!
