Empower Joins SAP.iO Foundry San Francisco Startup Program
Company’s EXPO2020 Global Best Practice Solution for Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) Supports Effort to End Plastic Waste
Oslo — 10 November, 2021 — Empower announced that it has been selected to join the SAP.iO Foundry San Francisco startup program for sustainability in utilities, energy and natural resources. Empower is one of six startups to join the program, selected by a jury of SAP experts, partners, customers, and investment funds.
“The opportunity to integrate the Empower Tracking Platform with SAP technology allows us to offer for a groundbreaking and streamlined tracking experience for customers. They can track materials in circular loops and receive needed data both on origin and impact for environmental, social and corporate governance reporting,” stated Wilhelm Myrer, CEO of Empower. “Joining the SAP.iO Foundry startup program will help enable us to provide our service cost-efficiently at scale and with industry wide impact.”
Empower runs a global plastic waste collection and tracking platform that is featured as one of the Top 25 Global Best Practices Solutions to be showcased at EXPO2020 Dubai. The solution is also featured in a video made by EXPO2020 Dubai and BBC in the run up to the event.
Through the SAP.iO Foundry program, the six selected startups help customers in the energy and natural resources industries build sustainable businesses, improve experiences, and manage their environmental footprint and sustainability goals. Empower will focus on accelerating innovation and optimizing value for their users while helping to create greater transparency and reduce waste in the supply chain.
