How we achieved “Good Food , Happy Students & Better Learning”
Mid day Meal was introduced in 1995 by the Government so that no child should be deprived of education because of food .The vision behind it was to bring more and more students to school .
Implementation of Mid Day Meal Scheme has always been a concern to the Government. Key Challenges faced by Government bodies in implementing Mid Day Meals are Maintaining Good Quality of Food , Unhygienic Cooking Conditions , Right Quantity of Food to every student with right amount of nutrients ,vitamins.
Working on these challenges we realised that Government has provided all resources but the major challenges are existent at Ground Level i.e. Schools . We analysed challenges for months, and started putting our efforts in developing a sustainable system that could address these Ground Level Issues .
With continuous efforts of Our Team , We created a Real Time Mid Day Meal Monitoring & Evaluation Solution that monitors all sorts of activities of MDM in thousands of schools of a District/Village.The solution monitors quality of food served ,cooking conditions . It also intelligently analyse quality of food served ,effectively manages Funds with better transparency .Higher authorities can now monitor the condition at fingertips.
With EmpowerU around 1.5 million of students are being served proper food. EmpowerU is currently implemented at 5000 thousands government schools. The Mid Day Meal Serving has shown an tremendous increase from 58% to more than 75%.
