You are welcome to walk about the cabin, hiss and boo, or contact ex-cons to inquire about the possibility that he will experience pain and violation at the end of a broomstick.
[Preamble]
I have an access card that some people don’t have, and I see conversations that would benefit from use of my access card. I’m usually fairly insensitive, and I can easily suspect you would be the same; and while the insensitivity cannot be left unjostled and be left to farrow, I feel you. …but sometimes I’m not always. I sometimes get stopped by a news story. I don’t always understand the struggle. I was a fairly handsome child, and until today I have been received in a fairly easygoing way by a mass of people larger than some know. I don’t know every-bodies problems, and I don’t think I know everybodies problems, but I’d like to give them a platform when I can. I do sometimes CHAD, but as long as I have this access card, a platform for social righteousness doesn’t seem to be too much struggle for me.
I’m going to try to be funny, and that’s because my primary purpose is unchanged: I intend to work out my authorial voice. …but I will try to be funny from my experience. These comments you shouldn’t expect to be funny. You may expect me to be funny; I’m crafting funny. These comments you could expect to be sad. You should not expect them. You may expect me to be funny, but I have a call to make. Operator to Monty Python: No one expects the Spanish Inquisition! Sad can sometimes be funny. If it is sad, I will do what I can. When sad was funny, it was awkward. When sad appeared awkward, you were already giving a platform… to fornication. Oh ribald humor. For just a moment, for just a lush, a callback: For me to poop on! I love that joke. You can find (eventually) Triumph the Insult Comic Dog on TBS’ CONAN with Conan O’Brien. The show also has an online media presence. I was not paid for this placement, it just feel like club membership I probably do NOT have.
This content is sectioned for your convenience. Now I will try to step aside and be a good emcee.

Please read the article. This isn’t some sort of click-bait article, it’s factual reporting of the events.
As disturbing as it is, it’s important to read how extreme some elected officials are. Otherwise you’re just relying on the opinion of some reddit user.

Thats a commentary on people who are passionate when they have never thought about it and will never think about it again. I don’t blame them. We all have rents to pay. I wonder what those are exactly.

This coming from a state that will also charge a person for fighting back in a domestic violence situation. You can’t fight back or you will be charged in kind.

Its almost like giving an official a free hand to work from isn’t the same as giving them standing in the community. We say it about the police. Today’s American judges are riding on a foreign title. …oops, that gets into some Chung Kuo shit, and the problem was more systemic than an individual.

This is the kind of shit I used to read about happening in parts of Pakistan or India and it made me feel lucky to live where I do… wtf, America?!
>=(*)=<
Its almost like American (Us) government officials become intoxicated when old toxins are used for practical reasons. “Oops, I’m a representative and I imbibed the Judge’s irreversable decision making.” “My fellow cops, we stand by them because it’s a practical part of the work we do. Don’t let a cop fall alone!”

“When Smith found the group, Doe was curled up in a ball on the floor as her legal team tried to shield her with umbrellas. The onlookers were trying to get close to the young woman to videotape her and take photos.“
“Smith and another person tried to block the onlookers from getting close to Doe, she said.”
“There were like eight policeman there, state police, but they were watching and not doing anything and they said, ‘We’re not allowed to take sides.’ So we kept at it,” Smith said.”
Protecting innocent people is “taking sides” now I see. Absolutely appalling.

See: This is why a record of leadership work in institutions of community cultivation should be a requirement for sex. Bro, your moment is here.

>One state representative sought a copy of the police report and made inquiries into how the young woman herself could be referred for criminal charges for reporting the alleged rape.
So let me get this straight. This state representative’s response to rape accusations is to inquire how you might charge someone with a crime for filing a rape accusation? First of all that’s fucked, second of all, wouldn’t it be as simple as proving the accusations false in a court of law? You know, with a jury and a trial and a deposition and closing arguments and whatnot. Filing a false police report is a crime last time I checked. I’m not a lawyer, but I’m pretty sure the accused has the right to remain silent, the right to an attorney, etc.

It does explain why state legislatures never get anything done save for the one out of ten chance when something burned the fuck down.

“Why don’t more rape victims report?”

Is there a notation on the internet for sarcasm yet? I think this person tried hard enough that I should probably call it out.

In 2008 I moved to Buffalo NY from out of state and brought my moped with me. It was very distinctive looking, and had out-of-state plates on it, and was always thoroughly chained up.
Despite this, when it was stolen after only a few weeks, the cops seemed barely interested in even taking a report. They threw up their hands and told me that it was all but lost.
Three months later I found it at a police auction. The police stole my vehicle to sell it. I had all of the paperwork, registration, matching VINs from the police report itself, but they refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing, or return my bike to me (unless, of course, I was buying it from them for $250)
I took the city of Buffalo/BPD to court, they waited a year until I moved 2500 miles away, then set a court case in which I needed to appear *in person*. I barely got $200 for my $4500 vehicle, in a check that arrived 3 *years* after the case closed.
I realize I’m damn lucky I got anything at all, and that’s the most frustrating part. Buffalo PD preys on people with the absolute expectation that no one will ever fight back.

The counter-argument to this is ‘I don’t feel like talking.’ Suspension of disbelief should be a formalized practice, so I understand.

Nope, according to SCOTUS, police have no legal obligation to do their jobs. Even better, it’s also illegal for the average citizen to sue police for not doing their jobs.
>=(*)=<
This just in: Activists have no ethical obligation to create an attachment to the police doing their jobs. I kid; 30% true. Even under adoringly roasting this commenter, I do understand the frustration in a world where all talking comes with a scripting language.

Sadly, yes. The very end of the article, which included quotes by the victim stating that she will never stop fighting for her justice and to create change for other victims in the future, did give me a glimmer of hope and inspiration. Putting myself in her shoes (I’ve experienced sexual assault), I’m honestly not sure if I could keep up the strength and perseverance to see all that through in such an overwhelmingly intense (and public!!) situation without falling apart. I’m sure most victims would feel the same, but perhaps she will be the exception? I just truly hope she just gets all the support and love she needs and is gentle and kind with herself.

I pity the woman. Hers will be a soul-crushing road.

I also left the Republican party in 2015 when Trump won the nomination. Then everyone started showing their true colors, including Rand Paul. I was a supporter of his father, Ron Paul too. I wonder why all those Republicans went to Russia in 2018..?
I got into the whole Conspiracy thing, but after flat earth, all that shit became fear mongering, cash grabbing bullshit — it morphed into something even more sinister when Donald Trump came along. The party is unrecognizable. Just the other day, you had hysterical “Republicans” booing Mitt fkn Romney, a solid Reagan conservative. If that doesn’t tell you what’s left of the Republican party…
I went from a George Bush compassionate conservative to leaning more progressive nowadays, in terms of social systems for society’s general well being. I mean, this pandemic has shown that the rich get all the benefits (welfare) with none of the risk because they’re “too big to fail.” It’s rugged capitalism for the rest of us, the tax payers take all the risk. “Fiscal conservatism”, basically anything coming from the current Republican party is **g**aslighting, **o**bstruction, and **p**rojection. It’s in the name.

I don’t think I can be funny about this one. I wasn’t the first to say we live in a monolith society. The first I read of it was in Feminism is for Everybody by (bell hooks.) Like so often, I feel like I’m reading it again here. So pitiable, as so goes the unsupported soul.
