The Shady Shepherd’s Psalm

Inspired by the 23rd psalm

The Lord is my shepherd

I shall not throw shade

He maketh me lie down under the palm trees

He leadeth me under the moonlight

He restoreth my side eye

He leadeth me pass the memes of Instagram for thy Hashtag’s sake

Though I may walk through the valley of the shadow of my ex’s pictures

I shall fear no like button for thy thumbs are with me

Thou Messenger and thou DMs they comfort me

Thou preparest a lunch table in the presence of thy side pieces, thou boileth the water in the kettle, I poureth my tea, thy Lipton runneth over

Surely palm and oak trees shall be planted all the days of my life and I shall dwell in the pettiness with the shade queens forever.
