Intro

“Jesus Christ is ‘probably’ a gay man!”

It could be the most common answer you might receive from the internet when many give their opinion on Jesus’s sexual orientation, claiming there is no proof in the Bible that Jesus isn’t.

Well, if you’re one of them, you are missing a lot of details.

1. Jesus Christ cannot be gay because His Father isn’t.

“No one has seen God [His essence, His divine nature] at any time; the [One and] only begotten God [that is, the unique Son] who is in the intimate presence of the Father, He has explained Him [and interpreted and revealed the awesome wonder of the Father],” (John 1:18, AMP)

One of the purposes of Jesus Christ, who was born in the human form of God, was to explain, interpret, and reveal the divine nature of the Father on earth. In Leviticus 20:13, the Father clearly tells us that He sees men having sexual relationships together as a sin, which is also a detestable behavior He is dissatisfied with. Therefore, it’s impossible that Jesus Christ was or will be a gay man because His divine nature, which aligns with the Father’s, can’t include or accept homosexuality as His lifestyle.

2. Jesus Christ couldn’t be the sacrifice if there were sins within Him.

Church of Saint Patrick in Sarasota, FL

“It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God,” (1 Peter 1:19, NLT)

If Jesus Christ had to be a sacrification for our sins, He needed to be sinless and spotless. If not, He wouldn’t fit the requirement of a sacrifice the Father looked for. In the Old Testament, animal offerings to God must be spotless, symbolizing purity and sinlessness. As God is holy (Psalms 19:1–6), He can’t receive unclean offerings. Therefore, Jesus Christ must be a sinless man to become a sacrifice for our sins. That’s why 2 Corinthians 5:21 mentions, “For our sake He made Him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” And we all know Jesus Christ has completed His mission as a holy sacrifice, so it is impossible that He was a gay man because homosexuality doesn’t align with the characteristics of holiness.

3. Jesus Christ Never Changes, and He Can’t Sin Against Himself

God is three in one (1 Corinthians 8:06), which means Jesus Christ is equal to the Father and Holy Spirit. So, if Jesus Christ were gay, it would mean He was sinning against Himself as a holy God, which is impossible. Hebrews 13:08 mentions, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” He isn’t a creation but God with an eternal nature, existing in and of Himself — long before humans were created and sin appeared. It means Jesus Christ didn’t sin yesterday and will never sin today and forever. So, it makes no sense that Jesus Christ could be a gay man on earth because He can’t change His Godly nature (James 1:17).

Conclusion

Many people say Jesus Christ could be gay, implying the message that homosexuality isn’t a sin. However, they lack Biblical knowledge of who God really is. God never hates anyone in the LGBTQ+ movement. Instead, He loves them so much that He even sent His only Son to die for us when we were still sinners and His enemies (Romans 5:8).

The reason He can’t support homosexuality is that it denies and disobeys the way God wants men to live their lives. All God wants is to guide you to live a holy life in which you will reflect His glory.

If you want to accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior, say this prayer:

O Lord God, I come to You in the name of Jesus. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that You raised Him from the dead, and I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life from today. I receive my salvation by faith and remission of sins for my soul. Right now, in the Name of Jesus Christ, I receive eternal life into my spirit. I declare with my mouth that I am born again! Hallelujah.
