In honor of my first Mother’s Day.

It was forty-one weeks and two days of what felt like a roller coaster of wishful thinking and immense preparation.

From fluctuating hormones and food cravings to sleepless nights, my mind, body, and soul have experienced massive changes, reminding me just how miraculous God is. After 17 hours of laboring with our maker, there you were, my beautiful and bubbly baby boy — you’re the greatest gift I know, a love greater than my own.

As I write, you lay snuggled next to me just as you were in my womb. It’s almost hard to believe you’re eleven weeks and two days old.

I am in awe of our creation. I am blessed and honored to have been used as a vessel to host you. Today, I celebrate our tethered love. I am looking forward to being your mama for infinity and beyond. I love you son.
