Encode x Urbit Hackathon: Launch Event [Video + Slides]
On Monday, 28th November we were delighted to host the Launch Event event for our Encode Club x Urbit Hackathon. This was the first event that entailed information for hackers who are dedicated to building projects with Urbit, a clean-slate OS and network for the 21st century.
Big thanks to Neal Davis from Urbit for attending the event and welcoming the hackers.
The purpose of the Encode x Urbit partnership is to educate people about Urbit and get them building! Every live workshop will later be converted into a dedicated online learning resource for future learners to study in their own time.
About the Encode x Urbit Hackathon
The hackathon is going to last for 6 weeks. In those 6 weeks, hackers will have the opportunity to attend live workshops hosted by fantastic speakers and learn how to implement new technologies into their build. Hackers will also receive technical and organizational support and 1–1 mentorship. As a hacker, you must register, build a project in your own time and submit it before the due date. The best projects will be invited to our Finale and Prizegiving event, where they will be pitched.
This hackathon is an excellent opportunity to learn, build and get onboarded into the Urbit ecosystem, as well as win great prizes! If you haven’t already, please register for the hackathon here:
