Over in Pomqa, we’ve been discussing how and where aspiring writers can get paid. I’ve compiled a list of 33 publications from Who Pays Writers and elsewhere that fit the narrative style of writing on Medium but are also contemporary publications that I’d want to write for.

Each publication pays somewhere between $50–400 a piece and have a specific style/audience that they cater to. Get familiar with a publication — their literary tendencies and their submission guidelines — before pitching. Oh, and tell us how it goes when you do get published!
