Dear Reader,

I launched Absurdist a year ago on the assumption that people wanted writing on the nature of things—the good, bad and ugly. I hadn’t anticipated how deep the need for authenticity was but Absurdist proved that.

But magazines don’t last forever. So after many months and essay experiments, we’re ending the magazine here on a high note.

Though I’m usually teeming with words, I have few now except that I’m grateful to the many editors and editors who volunteered countless hours to simply tell an honest story. Medium is nothing without your work.

They say that writers write to find their truth. I’ve come to find my own through the many essays written and published. I hope you have too.
