In the past week, the folks at iRacing have released new content to the already incredible library of tracks and cars available to the subscribing public, so let’s take a look at what’s been released for Season 2 2022:

Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55

Situated in Peverly Missouri, the Ken Schrader-owned 1/3 mile clay oval circuit has been a regular venue on the World of Outlaws Sprint Car series with its 19-degree banked turns and ten-degree banked straights.

Kyle Larson broke the ten-second record at this track in 2020, the first live event held post-covid in a World of Outlaws Sprint Car, inviting you to do the same. You can see below how this track looks.

Winton Motor Raceway

From America to Australia, this track has been affectionately called “Australia’s Action Track”, the tight and twisty technical turns truly test anyone brave enough to venture forth.

Based near Benalla in Victoria, Australia, the original 1961 2.028-km track was extended to 3 km in 1997, and regularly sees the Australian Touring Car Championship visit for the Winton Super Sprint. Why not see it for yourself?

Stockcar Brasil

This has been the premier tin-top category in Brazil since 1978, and these V8 550-horsepower pocket rockets have seen numerous high-profile drivers take part in their series over the years, including Nelson Piquet Jr and Rubens Barrichello, with Tony Kanaan recently joining the ranks.

The Chevrolet Cruze and Toyota Corolla are the weapons of choice for the iRacing establishment. Hear what Kanaan has to say about the cars:

Hyundai Veloster N TC

Adding to the touring car category is the Hyundai Veloster N TC. Sharing most of its components with the i30, the Veloster has also enjoyed considerable success in the North America, securing a 1–2 in the championship standings of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge after its 2019 launch.

Formula iR-04

A new single seater makes its way into the iRacing roster, the iR-04 is very reminiscent of the new GB4 entry level single seater category, due to be launched in April this year.

GB4 will utilise the Tatuus F4-T014 chassis with a 1.4 litre turbocharged engine, ready to give out 160 horsepower to a car that weighs barely more than a damp cloth, so the iR-04 will be a great introduction to single seater racing for the iRacing members.

Here is the car being put through its paces around the twisty Scottish circuit of Knockhill.

Aston Martin Vantage GT4

Last but not least, one of Britain’s longest running marques, Aston Martin has been using the Vantage for racing for many years, seeing countless revisions up to its current GT4 specification.

It was released in 2019 and had seen success in many categories since then. The gloriously growling GT4 can be seen and heard in all its glory here:
