Upcoming Proof-of-Stake Update
In the near future, Energi will be switching consensus algorithms from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake. This has been on our roadmap since our inception, and we are excited to be nearing this transition. This will give anyone who holds NRG a chance to earn rewards — not just miners and masternodes.

Energi has recently been featured in some videos by popular cryptocurrency YouTubers. Most notable are the videos by Altcoin Daily and Keith Wareing. Altcoin Daily’s video focuses on the power of Energi’s treasury system, as well as the upcoming developments on our Roadmap. Keith Wareing does a full in-depth review of Energi and does a great job explaining Energi’s mission and overall design.
