Claro Energy, which has already installed or is maintaining more than 8,000 solar irrigation systems across India, is now piloting new approaches to service delivery, including pilots in Bihar state to test the ability of irrigation and other agricultural uses (processing, cold storage, etc) to serve a baseload for renewable mini-grids, as well as mobile irrigation.

A new video highlights Claro’s e-rickshaw that is already meandering down small country roads to deliver mobile, PAYG irrigation.
