Energy and Consciousness is a publication to share and express your knowledge, expertise, and experience regarding metaphysics, spiritual growth, consciousness, and life lessons. It focuses on being a place for the like-minded to offer added value as clarity, insight, and inspiration.

Energy and Consciousness is not a publication focused on fast-tracked growth, maximizing exposure, measurement of subscriber growth per month, etc — even though such things, growth, views, and so on, are welcome. But EC is focused first and foremost on the level of awareness with which it offers information, whether one person or one million are reading.

Energy and Consciousness operates under the perspective the whole has the potential to be greater than the sum of the parts. Meaning, even two or three contributors of similar focus and spiritual alignment may sinergise and bring relevant benefit for those involved.

No musings. EC is meant to clarify, teach, inform, but not to stir the pot i.e. raising questions that are left unanswered. Questions are legitimate and a natural part of human growth - but this is a place to answer them, not add to them. For each question you raise, provide the answer also.

Prose is the form of expression for this publication. Neither poetry nor video will be accepted. Graphics and imagery are fine, in support of text and depending on the message. In general, online content benefits from some imagery in support of text-based material. So the use of images is expected.

Personal promotion is perfectly fine and acceptable, within reason. If you have a field of expertise you’re connected with from within, and you’re passionate about conveying it to others, chances are you’ve built a business, service, or project, which you’re free to point to in what you write. In fact, for EC submitted content doesn’t need to be unique: you can very well post what you’ve already written in your blog or website (adding the relevant links to the original content) and use this platform as an outrigger to your canoe, that is to say, for added outreach. However, spam and gamey strategies are not tolerated. You do need to offer input that stands on its own - as opposed to writing a couple sentences only to justify pointing to your website afterwards.

Accepted topics on EC are: spiritual growth, life lessons, past-lives and reincarnation, metaphysics, spiritual gifts, personal experiences that led to insight and/or growth, spiritual awakening, providing holistic and guidance services to others, and otherwise any content providing clarity, insight, positivity, upliftment, hope, and/or inspiration. Topics addressed don’t have to be spiritual or metaphysical in an explicit sense, these can be mundane, “normal” if you will. But there needs to be some form of added depth and insight in addressing them.

The source must be yourself. No religion. No dogma. No quoting from scriptures, masters, or gurus. The information must be your own, or at least come from your own perspective and experience. You may use a quote or two to explain, reinforce, or illustrate your viewpoints - but not to justify or be a crutch to them.

Provided these guidelines are met, approval of submissions is fairly hands off. Articles will for the most part be published as is. I’m generally not picky with the way you write, other than, perhaps, preferring sections of text divided into paragraphs rather than big walls of text. Again, a picture would be nice too.
