Enevti.com Development Update: Introducing On-Chain NFT Social Features!

--

Let’s help new creators in a fun and engaging social way!

In the survey we conducted, in addition to the wallet feature that we introduced earlier, the mechanism available to help creators sell their NFT is one of the most anticipated features.

Creating, promoting, and selling an NFT is indeed one of the challenges faced by creators, especially the new ones. In fact, it is hard to sell an NFT unless you already have an audience [1], and that’s why community is the key to an NFT’s success [2]. On the other hand, one of the effective mechanisms implemented to promote NFT is airdrop, why? one obvious answer is that people love free stuff. So, in terms of building a happy community that feels appreciated, a friendly airdrop can go a long way [3].

In addition, Vitalik Buterin explained that one of the five main goals of the ideal NFT launch is to create ‘Fun’. Which, the process of participating in the sale should ideally be interesting and have game-like qualities, but without being frustrating [4]. And, considering their potential, NFTs are being framed as micro social networks that could lead the way to a new form of social platform [5].

Paying attention to these factors, then, how do we design a fun, socially-oriented mechanism, that engages the audience and the community, to help new creators unravel the challenges of selling NFT, with the decentralization power of web3? Well, Guess no more! Because today, we are excited to introduce on-chain NFT social features for the enevti.com mobile app!

Through this article, we will explain some basic features related to NFT social interaction, exclusive comment utility, and social raffle features, as well as give us a glimpse of what we’re going to do next!

Like & Comment: Social Interaction built into NFT!

See the familiar heart and comment icon above?

In this update, we have implemented the basic features that all social media apps should have, which are Like and Comment! Everyone can give Like and comments, either for Collection or NFT. In this case, all social interactions, including likes and comments, occur on-chain. This means that all the decentralized advantages of web3 technology are automatically implemented for all these social features.

Already familiar with these `mention` features, right? How about we bring it to NFT?

In addition, users can also mention profiles or other items in their comments. Users can mention username using the ‘@’ symbol, mention collections using the ‘$’ symbol, or mention NFT using the ‘*’ symbol.

Keep the conversation going with on-chain comments and replies!

Furthermore, everyone can also reply to comments, and give likes to existing comments or replies, with a super user-friendly interface and experience.

Introducing Clubs: Exclusive Comment powered by NFT Ownership!

Are you one of the club's members, or not?

In addition to the ‘Common’ comments section that everyone can comment on, by leveraging the trusted ownership nature of NFT, we have also developed an exclusive comment section, which we call ‘Clubs’.

Wanna join the clubs? Mint the collection first!

Here the ‘Clubs’ comments section of the collection, can only be commented on by its creator, or by accounts that own one of the NFTs in the collection. As for the ‘Clubs’ comment section on NFT, comments can only be made by the creator, or by the account that owns the NFT.

The ‘Clubs’ feature is also one of the exclusive utilities to own an NFT, which makes NFT now go beyond just art and collectibles. This is what we at enevti.com always striving for!

Social Raffle: Decentralized Airdrop powered by ‘Like’!

At enevti.com, we go beyond likes!

To help new creators unravel their NFT selling problems, in a socially oriented and fun way, we’re proud to introduce the Social Raffle feature! Basically, Social Raffle is a layer 1 algorithm logic, which will airdrop a collection that is still in the mint period, to a random account that has given a ‘like’.

Social Raffle Genesis Config

These configurations will determine how the social raffle works! See the source code!

To explain the social raffle further, let’s first discuss the available configurations. In this case, how the social raffle algorithm works will be determined by the five configurations specified in the genesis config, which consist of:

  • maxPrice: this configuration determines what is the maximum mint price for a collection that is eligible to participate in the social raffle. -1 means unlimited, so no matter how expensive the mint price is, as long as the pool is available, your collection is always eligible to join the raffle.
  • maxRaffledPerCollection: this configuration determines what is the maximum number of raffle executions per collection that are allowed. -1 means unlimited, no matter how many times a collection has been raffled, it will always be eligible for the raffle.
  • maxRaffledPerProfile: this configuration determines the maximum number of raffle executions per profile allowed. -1 means unlimited, so the creator will always be able to include his collection for the raffle.
  • rewardsCutPercentage: this configuration determines what percentage of the block rewards will be deducted to be allocated to the raffle pool.
  • blockInterval: the raffle round, this configuration determines after every how many blocks the social raffle algorithm will be executed.

How Social Raffle Works: Step-by-Step

Activate the social raffle when you create the Collection!

Now let’s go into more detail! First thing first, each creator can opt-in or opt-out of a social raffle when they create their collection. Next, once a collection is set up for a social raffle, in general, there are five phases of each raffle round, which can be explained as follows:

  • Phase 1: Gather Like & Pool Balance, In this phase, people can ‘like’ your collection. In addition, as much of the `rewardsCutPercentage` percent of each block reward will be accumulated for the balance of the social raffle pool.
  • Phase 2: Ranking Period, In this phase, for every `blockInterval` block, the collection will be ranked based on the number of ‘likes’ they got in their collection in that raffle period, meaning that the ‘likes’ obtained in the previous raffle period are not included. It’s important to note that the recorded ‘likes’ are only ‘likes’ on the collection, meaning NFT likes, comment likes, and reply likes are excluded!
  • Phase 3: Minting Top Collection, In this phase, after the collection is ranked, the collection will be assessed for its eligibility. If the state of the creator and collection matches the `maxRaffledPerCollection` & `maxRaffledPerProfile` configurations, the mint price of the collection matches the `maxPrice` configuration, and the pool balance is available, then the collection will be minted using the balance from the pool. Here, creators will receive tokens at the mint price.
  • Phase 4: Airdrop, in this phase, the NFTs that were successfully minted in the previous phase will be airdropped randomly to the account that has given a ‘like’ to the corresponding collection. This randomization process uses a random function that can be verified, so it is decentralized.
  • Phase 5: Next Round, after all the phases are completed, the balance in the pool will be subtracted, creators will receive tokens, and fans will get free NFT, then the cycle will be repeated back to the `Gather Like & Pool Balance` phase!

With these steps, we believe we can help new creators, as well as build a great community. To be able to achieve this, the configuration of the genesis social raffle needs to be adjusted as well as possible, so that it is fair to all parties involved.
