Designing the BEST Website

Whats a great website? is it www.apple.com or www.forbes.com?

Apple and Forbes are two different companies. One is a product company (Apple) and the other is a business magazine.

If you compare both the sites you can see a major difference design wise but the same when it comes to functioning.

Apple’s design is more sleek and modern but when it comes to Forbes it’s more informative and they use very less imagery.

Now how do you really pick which is the better looking site?

I’m pretty sure most of you would pick Apple’s website because come on it’s sexy, so of course it’s the best looking site now let’s design the site just like Apple’s website…NO!

See this is where almost everyone gets it wrong when it comes to designing websites. Not every site has to look like Apple. Your design should match what the company is. You really don’t to give the impression of a different site you want to make it unique in a way that when someone see’s it they can say that it’s your company website and not an Apple knockoff.
