Finding a Serial Killer..

So you want to help find a serial killer, this community can help with just that. What even is a serial killer you may ask, well a serial killer is a person who commits a series of murders, often with no apparent motive and typically following a characteristic, predictable behavior pattern. Imagine you want to help rid the world of horrible people or even simply look into some cases may it be missing persons cases or serial killer cases. They have users to discuss and classify information related to crimes, trials and unsolved cases, which they come up with theories in order to try and help solve the case. This isn’t the easiest forum to look into. Some of these crimes may be disturbing. You should make sure you’re up to the task.

Dive in Deep

This forum has been around since, May 25, 1999. Serial killers have been around for a while with the first reported serial killer being reported in 1981. The site websleuths.com has many members and has a lot of cases with information about the case, it has a total of 1,800 users, 209 of them being members and 1,350 of them being guests. Posts to this website are made daily with the most recent post being from today at 12:59 AM. This is a privately owned website with live chat rooms with zero drama and they live stream every night at 10pm eastern. This is not the only place where you can find fans of crime, you can look on reddit or even smaller websites. This is the most active website with the most up to date knowledge on cases, even message boards of possible serial killers as recent as 2020. If you go to this site looking for a case and do not see it you are able to add it if the case is legit it will be respectfully discussed. Websleuths really does not solve cases. They only have the information that’s in the mainstream media. They take the information, pick it apart, come up with theories, investigate it on the internet and discuss it, as you would with any website

Beyond

While these websites are mostly about trying to solve crimes, you can be active in this community in many other ways. You do not have to make a post you could simply just like to read into cold cases or serial killing articles. This is a very open community with many ways to contribute. While personally I’m a bystander and look at an article if it pops up on my news feed others may take a deep dive in and make posts about their theories on the cases posted to the site. Some may share memes to social sites like Facebook or reddit. This community is very helpful to police seeing as many departments do not have the time, the staff and maybe some smaller departments don’t know how to do the deep searches they do. So, in a way this community has helped so many people.
