How To Post To Medium
- Once you have written your essay on Google Docs, Word, or Pages, open up your Medium account.
2. Under your profile, click “Write A Story.”
3. Copy & paste your essay into text boxes, and be sure to include a title. Don’t paste the whole essay into the title box!
4. Click the three dots icon in the top right corner of the screen, next to the green “Publish” button.
5. Under the three dots menu, click “Add to publication” and select our class page. Then hit “Select and continue.”
6. Once you’re satisfied with the way your essay looks, then hit the green button. You’ll notice it will change from “Publish” to “Submit.” Only click the green button it it says “Submit.”
7. If you’ve followed the above steps, it will send it to our class page for approval before it’s published, and it won’t appear on your personal Medium page. If it does appear on your personal page, that means you didn’t add it to our publication, so go back to steps 4–5.
8. It will ask you to post an image, to tag people, and basically to double-check your post. Click the green “Submit to Publication” button. You’ll get a confirmation notification.
9. That’s it! You’re done. I’ll review them, and then publish them to the page once I’m done grading.
