VR future with Video Games

This was a topic that I really enjoyed learning about. I believe that virtual reality is become more relevant when game designers think about making a new game. When designing a video game, you look for something that will set your game apart from other video games that are already made. Virtual reality is that something that is taking over the gaming world. While listening to the panel presentation I learned a lot of new information about VR games and how they work. In the activity portion I went on a virtual reality water slide and also went on a roller coaster. I personally didn’t enjoy these game because I got dizzy and felt like throwing up. I feel like this could have the same effect on many people that haven’t been introduced to VR games. The Play Station VR looked more enjoyable because you are actually in control of a game unlike the water slide but I never got the chance to play that. One thing that I thought was incredible was when lance was explaining the tight line he went to and how him and his girlfriend got sick from that experience. I also thought Brady’s information was really interesting explaining that VR is being used to enhance athlete’s performance by implementing VR sessions before games and in practice. Being an athlete I think that would be incredibly impactful for success and preparation for games and practice. All of these different things about virtual reality can be a positive impact of athletes and video game players. The only negative impact I could imagine is making people dizzy and start to feel sick. I believe that virtual reality will become more relevant and take over the gaming industry within the years to come due to the positive impact and the different experience.
