She believes that parents are lying to their children when they tell them about how Santa Claus rides in a sleigh, pulled by reindeer in the sky on Christmas Eve, and comes down your chimney with gifts for their children.
Children were led to believe that their gifts came from Santa Claus instead of the real people who bought them.
Thinking seriously about what she said, I think she is right. The true meaning of Christmas is forgotten in our world now by many.
Christmas is advertised months before with Santa Claus, trees, decorations, and gifts, before its true meaning. Which is shoved into the back because it’s a season of giving and getting, no longer about celebrating the birth of Christ.
