Become a volunteer translator for KPCC-LAist

News happens in many languages, and KPCC-LAist journalists invite you to partner with us in the reporting and distribution of stories.

There are more than 200 languages spoken in the state of California.

While KPCC and LAist are produced primarily in English, our reporters and producers regularly lean on their own non-English-language expertise to bring you the stories and voices of Southern California’s diverse communities.

In our newsroom, we have journalists who speak Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin, German, Cantonese, and other languages.

But in order to engage and serve more Angelenos, we’d like to turn to you.

Let us know if you’d like to review a translation or share your insights as somebody who speaks multiple languages.

We’ll follow up with each and every person who writes us as we build this network of volunteer translators and gain more insights into new distribution for our journalism.
