Welcome! You are likely here for one of a few reasons:

If the above is true, then you’ve come to the right place! First, though, let me talk a bit about my background and the reason I’ve created this page.

I come from a science and engineering based background. As such, I spend much of my days sitting in a chair at a desk solving problems. This is something that I enjoy very much, however, it served to lead me to an unhealthy lifestyle where I was unfit and ballooned up in weight. At some point, somewhere around 255 pounds, I decided that was unacceptable. I approached the problem much like any other engineering problem: I researched and devised a science based solution. I am now a healthy weight and far more muscular than I used to be and now, not only am I happier and healthier, I am also happy with the aesthetic change as well.

The good news for those of you willing to put in the time and effort is that you are in total control of your health and fitness. The bad news, however, is that there is a lot of terrible information out on the internet and if you don’t have a guide to help you sift through the claims then you can waste a lot of time with needlessly restrictive fad diets, false information, and other terrible claims.

On this page, I will attempt to be that guide.

Here you will find simple and straightforward guides and articles for exercise, losing weight, and other related topic. I will also post articles about auxiliary topics to go into detail about aspects of these topics. If you find that any of my articles or guides is lacking in some detail or incorrect in some way, feel free to reach out to me and I will adjust the article! For corrections, please provided sources if you have them available.
