To succeed, you must share

udaan as an organisation has it’s fundamentals firmly rooted in the power of the community and collaboration. You cannot miss it, if you walked down the corridors of the office (or the slack channels in the pandemic era). The constant chatter, inputs, “IMOs”, likes, emoticons, bits and bytes.

Also, udaan is big on developer experience.

What that means is, in case engineers see an opportunity to make their collective lives easier (read systemic interventions) they will go all out to build it. Inside, we also do not have any walled gardens. One is free to contribute to any codebase they take a liking towards. This naturally resulted in some of the coolest dev tools, hacks, treasure troves that we ended up creating at udaan, and nothing would give us more happiness than sharing some of these with the community at large.

The Open Source section of the publication will be dedicated towards various releases of O-SS from udaan engineering.

At udaan we also recognise and acknowledge the power of sharing. From cURL (Daniel Stenberg) to npm(Sindre Sorhus) and from Kubernetes to React native , from distributed online communities to all in one social platforms we have come a very long way. We hope the contributions from udaan leads larger shared goodness over time and it turns into a healthy well maintained O-SS stack.
