Travel Date: 31st Dec 2020 to 3rd Jan 2021

Our travel plans were almost going to die for 2020 until our one and only Hardik0707 (aka Viper) sown a seed for a get to gather.

Few places that came to our mind were Goa / Rann of Kutch /
Delhi — Agra — Jaipur.

Out of these, we scratched 1st and 3rd due to the lockdown situation also we wanted to plan something which was deterministic according to our plan and not that was imposed by others.

We had a good plan for Rann of Kutch and Gujurat (we will create a separate blog post if we plan to travel there in near future 😄 ) though we parked in favor of Mount Abu whose idea was injected by one of our friends and we got carried away by the sales pitch 😛

Sharing timeline with you and our Iternary :)

Note: Details cost for items is shared in an Excel below

31st December 2020

Bag packed and ready, we all reached Borivali station (except our one dearest friend who was boarding from Akola)

Reached Ahemdabad at 5:00 AM

boarded for Abu Road bus station at around 8 am

Reached Abu Road bus station at around ~12 pm

Boarded a private Jeep to Mount Abu (the main location / Hill station)

We visited Nakki lake there

We rested that day because of the tiredness of traveling.

2nd January 2021

We took 5 activas on rent and roamed Gurushikhar first and then Achal Ghar

1 Litre of petrol is more than sufficient for this travel ( Novice we filled 2 liters)

We stopped by Delvada to have lunch and visit the Jain temple there

There is Jain lunch provided in the bhojanshala there

Jain bhojanshala
Guru Shikhar
Achal Ghar

Note: don’t pay for parking Activa few localities hoard the area so they can get rent for parking, just say we won’t pay or we’ll call cops 😉

3rd January 2021

We had our delicious Breakfast in Jain Dharmshala which had Upma, Hot Tea, Khakra, etc. at a minimal cost of 60 rupees

We kept Taud rock for last, again a very good scene from here.

Taud Rock

We boarded for Ambaji by Private SUV and reached Mount Abu Station. where we kept our Luggage bags in the Railway station cloakroom.

We reached Ambaji around 5 pm and took the ropeway to reach Ambaji Gabbar which is on the hilltop.

Ambaji Gabbar

After some prayers, we headed back to Mount Abu Station so basically from

Maharashtra(Home) -> Gujarat(Ahmedabad) -> Rajasthan (Mount Abu)-> Gujurat (Ambaji)-> Rajasthan (Mount Abu)-> Maharashtra (Home)

what a journey 😆

Mount Abu Station

4th January 2021

We reached Mumbai around 11 am and reached our home safely 🤞

Few things are coming over from my head that you wish you had and help you alot.

  • Splitwise
The best ledger app to offload who owns whom bookkeeping
    Small Tip: Enable this option
  • Lock and Keys
This was helpful to keep your Bags and Luggage at the railway station because the railway Locker room doesn’t allow otherwise.
  • Newspapers

And in the end, for all of you waiting for the cost!

Per head, the cost came at around 3500 rupees

Splitwise per head cost

Below is a small Vlog of all the fun we had during our stay

Cheers 🕊
