POV and voice in “Varsity”

In the short story “Varsity”, The narrator is writing in a 1st person point of view. He is in his football locker room at school and he is describing how everything looks and feels. He includes memories and also quotes the people who were talking throughout the story. At the end of the story, he includes his thoughts about the whole situation from his point of view. It seems as if we are the ones that he is talking to.
