  1. Writing is the ability to document a persons thoughts, feelings, emotions, and events in a way that allows for self-expression and individuality. Writing can be about yourself, someone else, a made up person, about an idea, and many other subjects. Writing is something that enables a person to speak without sound and sing without timbre. It allows for silent expression that can be made available to the public or to only one eye.
  2. Writing matters because it not only provides a form of essential communication, it also allows events to be documented and possibly analyzed in the future. Writing can be a form of therapy for some people who don’t want to talk about their experiences and feelings. It can also be a way to document your personal major life events, emotions, and experiences to look back on many years from that point.
