Writing Matters because it Lasts

Writing matters because it can outlive you. Think of The Diary of a Young Girl, Anne Frank’s journal that lived on to share her story and sell over 30 million copies. Without writing, how would we have read Jane Eyre or The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn? I wasn’t alive to hear Lord of the Flies by Golding himself, so we simply write it down and let it live on.
