3 Reasons Beyonce and Taylor Swift are Inspirations to Women
And influential too!
This week, Beyonce and Taylor Swift have been all over the news by dint of making history at the Grammy Awards on March 14, 2021. Both performers are looked up to as inspirational and influential not only in the music industry but also in ordinary women and here are the reasons why.
Spread Women Empowerment
Not only Beyonce said in her song, “Who run the world? Girls!” but she also led women to real empowerment.
In 2013, Beyonce, with Gucci, co-founded Chime for Change, a global campaign that protects and supports less fortunate women by giving them access to education, justice, and health care. It also strongly encourages women around the world to speak up and not be afraid to use their voices and express their ideas because women are equally as important as men.
In 2016, Beyonce brought the Mothers of the Movement to the MTV VMAs. They are those whose sons became gun violence victims, and also appeared in her Lemonade visual album.
Taylor Swift has also been powerfully encouraging women to be themselves and not be afraid of what others think of them. She always uses her music to inspire women.
