How to Nurture the Strength of Spirit

Our beautiful world is fragile but cruel. Besides natural hardships connected with a human’s survival, the very person as a social creature makes the life’s whirl hard to bear. The power of evil, envy and insidiousness can destroy even the kindest person. The strength of spirit is the only thing that helps the person to live and that everyone can nurture by believing in themselves, working hard and never giving up.

Firstly, anyone can develop the strength of their spirit if they have belief in their personality and deeds. The human’s ability to believe is considered to be a powerful reason for becoming confident. Without trusting their feelings, ideas and thoughts the person vacillates, becomes vulnerable and loses sense of their existence as of the person who under no circumstances changes their way and betrays themselves. Moreover, such a personal belief makes the person rely on themselves, be honest with themselves, thus be mentally strong.

Secondly, hard and diligent work is one of the ways how every person can nurture the strength of spirit. Whether it is mental or manual work it requires regular strain, concentration and intellectual and physical powers, which improves the person’s ability to struggle with their dissatisfaction, conflicts and problems. Everyday challenges enhance the person’s life experience in professional, social and individual spheres of their lifespan giving them knowledge of what they really are and what to do in order not to be led astray, thus to become better. So, the more challenged you are, the stronger willpower you have.

Thirdly, the strength of spirit can be trained by never giving up. When the person fails to accomplish something very important, they may slow down and lose belief in their destiny. But quitting what the person has desired means feeling sorry for themselves and stopping to develop. That is why failures should not be so devastating and to nurture the willpower, the person ought to be optimistic and create their lighthouse which shows their way even in darkness, for instance sun, the mother’s smile or favourite music.

To sum up, our world has complicated conditions for the human’s survival not only physical but moral, too. The person’s life would be impossible to bear without the strength of their spirit. That is why it is important to develop the willpower with the help of belief in yourself, persistent work and the refusal to give up.
