Lastpass is a freemium password manager that stores encrypted passwords online. At Enhanced Society we love it and think everyone should make it their new BFF! The standard version of LastPass comes with a web interface, but also includes plugins for various web browsers and apps for many smartphones.

Your data is encrypted and decrypted at the device level. Data stored in your LastPass vault is kept secret, even from LastPass. Your master password, and the keys used to encrypt and decrypt data, are never sent to LastPass’ servers, and are never accessible by LastPass.

All you need to do is remember your ‘master password phrase’ and LastPass remembers the rest. Be aware that if you forget your master password, you can be locked out of your account forever.

LastPass assists with generating secure passwords up to 100 characters in length.

Be sure to add 2 Factor Authentication to your LastPass account to add that extra layer of security.
