MedCrypt, an Eniac seeded company & recent YC grad, raises $5.3M to secure medical devices

Medical device cybersecurity software provider, MedCrypt announced a $5.3M Series A led by Section 32, the investment firm founded by former Google Ventures partner Bill Maris. The round was joined by Eniac Ventures and Y Combinator. Their security software allows device vendors to use cryptography to secure data traveling between or stored on devices.

MedCrypt is a graduate of YCombinator and was named a winner of the Xconomy Innovation Awards. Founder & CEO Mike Kijewski wrote on why Hackers Are Hunting Medical Data, Not Money in Electronic Health Reporter.

Embrace raises $4.5M to diagnose 5x more in-app issues
and fix the mobile experience

Eniac-seeded company Embrace announced a $4.5M preemptive additional capital round led by Pritzker Group Venture Capital and joined by Greycroft and Vy Capital. Embrace is an AppDynamics/New Relic for mobile and is automating the identification of user issues and removing diagnostic inefficiencies for mobile engineering teams.

Since launch, Embrace has grown to support trillions of mobile events from many of the world’s most popular apps, in a variety of verticals, including Home Depot, OKCupid, Boxed, Headspace, GameTime, and AllTrails.

ProdPerfect secures $2.6M, co-led by Eniac Ventures, to fully automate QA for web appsEniac co-led ProdPerfect’s $2.6M seed round with Fika Ventures. Fully automated, high-coverage end-to-end QA engineering as a software product. It analyzes web traffic to create aggregated flows of common user behavior and generates and maintains test scripts based on these user flows. The coverage updates continuously and automatically as new features are deployed.

The product has been live since April 2018 and revenue has grown 40% MoM.
