How come there’s always an excuse for not tackling the climate emergency?
One of the world’s largest and most valuable companies, Amazon, has published its 2021 sustainability report, and its results are hugely revealing: its total greenhouse gas emissions increased by 18% on the previous year, to 71.54 million tons of carbon dioxide equivalent. Compared to 2019, before the pandemic, the figure represents an increase of more than 40%.
