Season’s Greetings!!!

As somebody who happily lives with the contradiction of teaching innovation while cherishing tradition, and who, in addition, is nothing if not a creature of habit, I’d like, for yet another year, to wish you all a very happy holiday season in my capacity as an IE University professor, and to wish you all a very happy 2023.

It’s going to be a year in which the most important event, sometime around the beginning of February, will be to become a grandfather, a completely new task for me and one for which I plan to train thoroughly. One does not “become a grandparent”, “they make you a grandparent”, but the task of systematically spoiling a grandchild should be carried out methodically! When I started writing these pieces, my daughter was eight-years old: now she is going to make me a grandfather, a perfect metaphor for the time I have been devoting to a project that began as a way organize my activities without having to depend on any other editor than myself, then became a way to keep myself up-to-date for my classes and conferences, and that now is, simply, a way of life, an ingrained habit that in many ways identifies me and shapes many of…
