The night’s arc of motion swept by like the hands of a clock, the interlocking paths of the cosmos its delicate clockwork. The triumvirate inner dance — the world circling the heavensphere of Celes that in turn circled the sun — that was only a minute piece of it all. The sun after all was only the closest of many, many stars.

Lifetimes of observation couldn’t hope to map every intricate mechanism of the orbiting bodies and roaming…
