Hauntingly Beguile

A Freeverse Poem

I kept you on the other side of the wind,
Where I knew you’d be safe,
It was where I left your memory,
Where I wouldn’t lose hope
Where I could return when I stumbled to find the road

That

I mistake for visions but they are monsters that
hauntingly beguile my nightly dreams.
