Sharded Minds NFTs — what’s next?

EnterDAO Sharded Minds NFTs just launched! At the time of writing, the public mint is still open and 5 of the 7 unique NFTs (1 of 1s called Legendary) are yet to be minted!

We are quite excited by the community response so far and with this article, we’ll address one of the most frequently asked questions around the drop — the utility of the NFTs.

How do Sharded Minds fit into EnterDAO and its mission?

2021 taught us that NFTs and digital collectibles are the backbone of Web3 communities. While the audiovisual art of Sharded Minds is pretty cool, their purpose is not to serve solely as a collectible or an avatar project. The market is flooded with those already.

In fact, since day 1 we’ve wanted to ship an NFT which will empower its holders to be part of the DAO, the building process and vibe together in the open Web3 Metaverse. For those that have read the original whitepaper behind EnterDAO, Sharded Minds was initially called MetaPass and was supposed to be kind of a membership. Sharded Minds have not deviated too much from that vision, we just met some cool artists along the way in the face of Angela and Raredub and wanted them to express themselves through this collection.

Getting to the point, what’s next for Sharded Minds and its holders?

• Participating in the governance of EnterDAO through distribution of the ENTR token over time
• Perks and goodies within EnterDAO’s products, especially MetaPortal (which is more user/player-focused)
• Being able to download backgrounds and tracks separately. Sharded Minds are CC0 meaning do whatever you want with it, as long as the vibes are good
• Access to exclusive, holder-only events in the Web3 metaverse
• Access to partner mints/drops
• Whatever the community decides is important (more on this below)

After all, EnterDAO is a DAO-first (community first) project and the utility of Sharded Minds is always going to be driven by the community sentiment. The Discord server is buzzing and the forum will open soon (next week) which can foster discussions and proposals around both the utility of the NFTs and the use of funds which are now in the DAO treasury.
