Welcome back to this week’s issue of The Metaverse Times, a newsletter where we cover all the latest news and updates surrounding the EnterDAO project, as well as other various bits and pieces going on within the general metaverse ecosystem.
MetaPortal Upgrade
This week we are pleased to announce that we have officially deployed the latest MetaPortla upgrade! The latest upgrade comes with a suite of new features including a brand new news page featuring the most relevant updates from games that are currently available to play from within the MetaPortal. Some other new features include an added achievements page, an option to cancel transactions. To view the full list of upgrades, please head to the official release notes via the link above.
Layer3 Competition Is Now Closed
Last week we introduced a brand new community campaign with the help of our friends over at Layer3. Our latest campaign was focused on our community! We tasked our fellow community members with publishing a thread explaining the potential for the MetaPortal, as well as the Web3 gaming ecosystem in general. The deadline has now passed, so unfortunately we are no longer accepting further submissions. Keep an eye out for an announcement over the coming days as we finish reviewing the final submissions and announce our winner!
CryptoTanks Now LIVE
CryptoTanks is the latest game to be integrated with the MetaPortal. The second phase of the games alpha stage is now live, and will run through until May 28th! The highest performing players throughout this stage will receive rewards for their efforts. For those who don’t know, CryptoTanks is a battle royale game based off the hit 1990s game ‘Battle City’. If you would like to access the beta, head on over to the the events section in the portal.

Kinguin Launches NFT Marketplace
Popular Web2 gaming marketplace Kinguin has just launched its NFT marketplace with the hopes of bringing its 10 million+ customers to the Web3 world. Kinguin’s marketplace is also launching onto the Immutable X network, so customers will be able to experience all NFT mints and trades for zero gas, much more affordable than minting on the Ethereum network. Cursed Pirates Reveal
The Cursed Pirates Twitter page has officially revealed some of the much anticipated details surrounding the upcoming launch of its NFT collection. For those who are unaware, the Cursed Pirates project is an initiative spun out of Galleon DAO, with the aim of creating a new form of governance using its NFT collection. The project will feature a free mint of 5500 ‘Cursed Pirates’ NFTs. For more information on how you can get your hands on one of these, head on over to the link in the title.
Pangea Announce Land Purchase!
Our friends over at Pangea have officially revealed that they have purchased a total of 25 DCL plots in the heart of Decentralands fashion district. Pangea have once again reiterated that they plan on forming a world class metaverse land treasury! Pangea have many avenues to explore with this new purchase including land staking, renting, commercialising, collateralising, and many more as new features become available.
