Disruption and transformation are key in the current global economy, and start-ups are an important agent in the equation. To quote Professor Wong Poh Kam, Director of NUS Entrepreneurship Centre (a division of NUS Enterprise):

“Start-ups are an important agent for disrupting existing businesses and seeding the emergence of new industries. While start-ups destroy some traditional jobs, they create new, high-value ones too.”

To find out the dynamics between growth and job creation of high-tech start-ups in Singapore, Professor Wong, Ho Yuen Ping and Crystal Ng of the NUS Entrepreneurship Centre set out to study the industry, and presented some of their key findings during The Business Times Leaders’ Forum 2017. Gain insight into the dynamics between start-up growth and job creation in the infographic that we’ve created below!

The full report will be released in May during innovfest unbound 2017.
