Mara Jade was a Force-sensitive assassin for Emperor Sheev Palpatine, and she later became a Jedi Master, married Luke Skywalker and is the mother of Ben Skywalker.

As of June 30, 2020, Mara Jade Skywalker’s last published story seems to be the novel “Star Wars: Fate of the Jedi: Apocalypse” released in 2012.

After The Walt Disney Company’s acquisition of Lucasfilm in 2012, they declared that most existing “Star Wars” material would be considered non-canon, called Legends.

Everything but the existing six live-action films and the 2008 animated series and film “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” and 2014 animated series “Rebels” was not recognized as a part of the official “Star Wars” canon from that point on.

All stories featuring Mara Jade were a part of the formerly Extended Universe, which were rebranded to Legends in 2014, two years after Mara Jade’s most recently published story.

Currently, there have been no appearances by Mara Jade in current “Star Wars” canon, and in fact, there are many ways that the official canon seems to contradict the stories Jade was featured in.
