Victoria’s Secret: the most popular lingerie and sleepwear brand that offers comfort, fun and ‘sexy.’ Their shops carry anything from undergarments and bikinis, to fragrances and cosmetics. But, what has made them such a memorable label that stands out from the rest? The answer is by creating a fashion show, and further, one that airs on a large TV network.

Easily one of the most watched nights on television, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was started in the 1990’s. Having very famous models always walking their runway and modeling their lingerie, Victoria’s Secret excels ahead of any other competition. With the show becoming an anticipated event that grows in popularity every year, they have multiple ways in which the show can be promoted and publicized. Not only the show itself, but in turn models, musicians, TV networks and the Victoria’s Secret brand itself get to reap the benefits.

Every year for the show, ambassadors of the brand hand pick which models they want to walk in the fashion show. Very popular women have always graced the stage such as Gisele Bündchen, Heidi Klum, Tyra Banks, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Doutzen Kroes, Behati Prinsloo, Rosie Huntington, Candice Swanepoel, Miranda Kerr and the list goes on. In this year’s show they decided to include the Hadid sisters -a dynamic duo- and Kendall Jenner. All being huge names in the industry, some also have appeared in movies, reality TV shows and more. Victoria’s Secret, having a large group of young women being the faces of the brand, know that they are all well in tune with the social media. The models are always posting on Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter about photoshoots, new commercials and behind the scenes of working with Victoria’s Secret. For example, an angel named Josephine tweeted at the fittings for the 2016 show about getting her first pair of wings, a huge honor in the Victoria’s Secret world. In addition to the girls being an army of social media advocates, the fashion show simultaneously promotes musicians and their music.
