Data, the most precious

Digital data is collected in every nook and corner of all your devices.

Data has inevitably passed every other resource to become the most valuable resource in the world; as it has been identified to be powerful enough to flourish or wither a business irrespective of its scale.

Data assists in gaining insights on the consumers, products and services to help make decisions which can impact on the performance of the businesses.

As the value increases there could be intruders trying to steal such business data from your business. To make it more difficult, you may have a set of employees hooked to their devices. How can you be possibly sure about securing your corporate data with the numerous devices accessed by all your employees?

Specialized solution for the issue?

You need a well thought mechanism to minimize or prevent data loss which could be happening from all the devices. Meanwhile, you also need to consider all forms of data involved in your organizational network.

1.Stored data — A storage of contact numbers or storage of mails.

2.Data in transit — Data on the move — The attachment which you just sent from your phone to your friend.

3.Data at endpoints — Data saved on user devices — There can be many devices per person. Data on your mobile device and data on your laptop.

These data in your devices can be personal data or corporate data.

Separate business from employees

In the business entity concept in accounting; it differentiates owner of a business from the business. In other words transactions associated with the business must be separate from its owner. This concept can be applied for devices with device management.

Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) is based on a similar principle. An EMM allows a business to be in control with data being passed through various devices yet minimize the risk of interrupting the key business functions. EMM allows IT Administration to manage all the Employee and Corporate Devices, Mobile Applications, and Mobile Content at one console making their life stress free.

The data is protected at 4 stages via the Entgra Enterprise Mobility Management platform namely,

  • Prevention — This ensures to take proactive actions against all the possible risks which can happen via the devices in your organization.

Example: Separation of work profile in device, Pick applications to open corporate files, Black list and White list apps.

  • Detection —This allows you to check any anomalies in your system.

Example: Background check on policies, Root detection.

  • Notification — This allows you to get notified about the various scenarios. These can be setup through your Entgra EMM platform.

Example: SMS or E-mails can be set up for one or more users.

  • Remediation— This allows you to take actions based on the insights which you have gained from statistics by Detection or by Notifications set up. Allows admins to be prepared for unintended consequences or situations.

Example: Remote Lock, Remote Data Wipe, Uninstall application
