Welcome to Entheogen! My name is J Gordon Curtis and I’m the editor here! I have a passion for plant medicine and the decriminalization of nature. I believe that Terrence McKenna was right when he called psychedelics the birthright of every human.

If you have that same conviction, I would love to include your writing in the publication! This is a safe place for anything tangentially related to entheogens, the war on drugs, mindfulness, and personal testimony.

What is Entheogen looking for?

Any stories about psychedelics, spirituality, consciousness, mindfulness or the ongoing war on drugs. That could include.

  1. Latest scientific research. What is currently going on in the world of academia? What are the latest studies showing or not?
  2. Personal stories. What experiences changed your life and how? What were the short, medium and long term impacts? This includes trip-reports.
  3. Critiques. Psychedelics are wonder drugs in some aspects yet they are not perfect and as with anything in life, there are challenges and risks. What are the specific challenges in reaching the mainstream? What can’t they do? What are the misconceptions?
  4. Psychedelic-inspired writing. However you see that, you may very well be right. Fiction and poetry, thought experiments played out on paper, whatever your heart is guiding you in, send it over.

How to submit

  1. Get approved as a writer — Leave a comment at the bottom of this article if you would like to be an approved writer. If you have recently been curated under psychedelics, stalker alert, I will likely have added you already!
  2. Submit your article — Please do this before actually publishing the article on your own. I will do my best to get back to you within 48 hours and would be eternally grateful if we could make sure to post it fresh when it’s ready! (This excludes articles that have been posted elsewhere on the internet.)

Getting approved as a writer doesn’t guarantee publication.

All the best.
