Thriving, Not Surviving
A journey I never thought I’d take
Hello, my darlings. Yes, it’s been a hot minute since I last posted, but I’ve been on a wild ride.
First of all, this is NOT the first post I’ve tried to put together in the past month. I’ve actually started a couple other posts, but my brain has just been too exhausted to put anything together.
In my last post, I mentioned that I had taken most of March off to get ready for my very first craft fair. And how did that turn out, you might ask? It was a colossal waste of time. We were one of seven tables of sellers crammed into a space smaller than a city sidewalk. I made a whole whopping $7. On the upside, my youngest granddaughter ended up making $11 selling little beaded animals she’d been making. I was proud of her.
On the first of April, the granddaughter who lives with me turned 13. It took a full two weeks in order to help her celebrate her becoming a teenager. She got to get her nails professionally done for the first time, got highlights in her hair, got her ears pierced, and got the big birthday party with her friends. I’m spent!
On top of all that, I started my new job. I never thought I’d be the person who’d take a left turn so late in life, just to start over again, but I did. After 11 years as a professional care provider, I went back to where my working…
