How can Podcasters Grow Latin American Audiences?

According to Sembra media, there has been quite a reduction in famous podcasters attracting broad audiences, particularly Latin Americans.

As relating to our current pain point, that there are less fortunate people that live in Latin America who do not have access to the Internet to learn about the news.

The people who do have access to the web are on several social media platforms. I have to agree with some of these statistics provided that Facebook and Twitter are the top 2 for social media natives of Latin America to use. These podcasters have many fans on Facebook and Twitter but 30% have less than 10,000 sessions a month.

They are only getting an average of 174,000 followers and 10,000 is the median which is not to broad.

I have to disagree however when the article says that age is not the controlling power when it comes to audience aggregation. Some parents can forbid their children from using Facebook or Twitter. The teenagers may have internet curfews and cannot be on the web all day or the parents just do not trust anything on the Internet.

When I did my interviews I got either elderly citizens are forced to go to retirement homes or just used to their everyday ways of using only a house phone.

We could maybe make a technology friendly events for senior citizens in Latin America and get them to be involved online. We can use flyers, billboards and carrier pigeons to deliver newsletters to these Latin residents to guide them to our public libraries or retirement homes.

Then once we can get them familiar with all the basic concepts and using the Internet the podcasters can they communicate and make it Spanish as well for the Latin Americans who only speak Spanish. Hopefully we can make as much local communities we can to help augment these famous Podcasters shows and gain some huge customers and profit.
