If this isn’t proof of the future of the importance of integrating social media into your business then I’m not sure what is.

As many of us know Tom Monaghan was the founder of Domino’s and also took big steps in revolutionizing the way pizza was delivered.

We’ll deliver your pizza in thirty minutes or less or else it’s free — Tom Monaghan

That rule has since gone by the wayside as the menu has since upgraded and become more complex than just pizza, but while it was in effect up until the early 90's, prior to Monaghan’s retirement, it put Domino’s in the foreground of customer service excellence. The idea was to make things convenient, and that it did.

Today, literally today May 20th 2015, Domino’s, under new CEO J. Patrick Doyle, made another break through in customer service innovation. NOW, you can tweet your order to Domino’s. How awesome. It’s another means of convenience that I can see other restaurants, especially local restaurants adopting fairly quickly. Once again, Domino’s sets the standard.

It’s a win-win for the company. After Domino’s captures your information and twitter handle through their website, I imagine having a set order list ready and of course your information is already stored, so you won’t need to do something silly like provide your address to the public through twitter, and it is said that regulars will just need to use emoji’s to order. I’m not sure about you, but I’m excited to try out this new method of ordering and seeing other companies adopting a similar method. It brings the customers closer to your social media marketing, can provide an awesome way to develop limited coupons that drive sales within the hour for example, and so much more. I for one am excited to see the future of this concept.

If I ran a pizzeria, I’d be on this immediately.
