This is not a very complicated procedure, but you have to click in the right places!

However, it can take several months before it is effective because your address will remain active for 270 days after the date of closure of the account.

If you have disabled your address by mistake, you have 270 days to log in to your account to be automatically reactivated.

How to Close Hotmail Account

Step 1

Plug into the Hotmail / Windows Live account.

Click on “Send Code” and fill in the corresponding field.

Delete your Outlook account

At the bottom of the “Protect Your Account” page that appears, you will find the “ Close My Account “ section. Click on the sentence in blue. From that moment, deleting your Outlook account will also delete all the data attached to it.

How to delete a Hotmail account

Your Hotmail account is not automatically deleted after this operation. It is “marked for closure” by Microsoft for a period of 60 days, during which you can reverse your decision, cancel the procedure and recover all your data. Only after this 60 day period will your account be permanently deleted.

What happens once your Hotmail account is closed?

Once you’ve deleted your Hotmail account, you’ll no longer have access to Outlook or Hotmail. You will no longer be able to access the Xbox, OneDrive, and Office365 subscription services. You will also lose all information and files associated with your Microsoft account. Contacts who try to reach you by email will receive an error message announcing the deletion of your account.

Delete Skype Account

- Go to the account closure page offered by Skype Support;

- log in with the account to delete; Skype may want to verify your identity via a verification code sent via SMS or email ;

- Skype will then offer you a control procedure to determine whether you are ready to close your account permanently (in particular to ensure that you have recovered all the information and all the documents attached to the account);

- finally, tell Skype why you want to close your account permanently, and click on “Mark account for closure” or “Mark accounts for closure”.

Your Skype account will be deleted within 60 days of the closing request date. During this time, your nickname will always be visible in the Skype directory, and your account will always be accessible to possibly recover any forgotten information. You can also always retract. Once the 60 days have passed, your account will be permanently deleted, and no more backtracking will be possible.
